Virtual PA – the Credit Crunch Solution

February 4, 2009

I’m often asked about the benefits of working remotely for my clients.  Obviously, in the current economic climate, hiring a Virtual PA has a lot of advantages.   Probably the biggest benefit is you only pay for the time you need, instead of facing a large salary bill each month.

Not that I’ve ever been in this position, but the days of the PA sitting behind her desk with nail file in hand are long gone!  Many large organisations are ‘rationalising’ their work force so the PA is either doing the work of three or has joined the ranks of the unemployed.

But for small companies, it makes sense to outsource even their secretarial work.  As a Virtual PA, I can attend online meetings and still take minutes, deal with audio or copy typing and generally manage my client’s busy business life.

Because I am also available to go into the offices of clients within my area, I don’t spend all my time in a ‘virtual world’.  I am able to fill in when sick leave strikes or project manage new office operations.  Once I have experienced how your particular office is run, I am able to return time and again, when required, to assist.  This enables your business to minimise ‘lost’ time often encountered when training an agency temp.

So … I’m not a figment of anyone’s imagination.  As a Virtual PA, I’m doing a real job in today’s world.
